Our clients are the owners and operators of assets that are critical to our local communities. As a Safety and Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing, monitoring and governance of SHEQ programs, systems and processes for the AGFMA contract.

This role acts as the key interface between the SHEQ Manager and operational delivery. You will contribute to the development and execution of broader company strategies, initiatives, programs and leading Health and Safety practices.

You will work collaboratively across the contract, implement the Health and Safety management plans, emergency response and business continuity planning. Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices to ensure compliance with Ventia Health and Safety Management System, Legislative and other requirements.

As a Safety and Compliance Specialist, you will lead and manage ICAM and Serious Incident investigations and drive learnings into the site and wider business as required. Ensure Ventia SHEQ standards are incorporated into the workplace.

About You:

  • Certificate IV in WHS (Required)
  • Lead Investigator training – ICAM (Required)
  • Lead Auditor qualification (Highly regarded)
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of legislation, standards and codes of practice
  • Demonstrated experience leading investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions
  • Undertake audits to establish process implementation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills Communicating and consulting with a large contractor workforce
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role and industry

About Us:

Ventia offers a competitive salary package of $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits such as a company vehicle and comprehensive professional development opportunities.
