Operational Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Operational Compliance Specialist to join our team at Halcyon Knights. This exciting opportunity is based in Adelaide CBD, with travel required to various operational sites.

About the Role

In this key position, you will play a vital role in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality and information management systems across various workgroups. These systems cover Environmental, Drinking Water Quality, Work Health and Safety (WHS), and Operations, contributing to the continuous improvement of business practices and effective compliance risk management in the delivery of water and wastewater services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Systems: Design, implement, and monitor quality and information management systems to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Collaboration and Enhancement: Collaborate with operational workgroups to enhance business practices and ensure the systems meet the needs of environmental, water quality, WHS, and operations teams.
  • Risk Management: Manage and assess compliance risks, providing advice and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Support the development and maintenance of documentation and reporting tools related to quality and compliance activities.
  • Audits and Assessments: Undertake audits, assessments, and reviews of operational processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Training and Communication: Assist with the delivery of training and communication regarding quality systems and compliance requirements.
About You

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of quality management systems, compliance risk management, and operational procedures. Ideally, you should have experience within the water and wastewater services sector. The ability to travel to operational sites as required is essential.

Requirements
  • Quality Management Experience: Demonstrated experience in quality management, information systems, or related areas.
  • Compliance Frameworks: Sound knowledge of compliance frameworks and regulations, particularly in water quality, environmental, or WHS systems.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and recommend improvements.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness and ability to travel to operational sites within South Australia.
  • Driving License: Must hold a current driver's license.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of SharePoint and MS Office suite essential.

The salary range for this position is $51,560 per annum, plus superannuation, reflecting the competitive pay rate for experienced professionals in this field.
