About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Safety and Compliance Expert to join our team in Adelaide or Pt Augusta. Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, this permanent role offers a 4/3 FIFO roster.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering strategies to manage governance and systems compliance requirements, providing specialist technical advice and support to site operations, and mentoring site Health and Safety specialists.

  • Manage site risk and compliance registers, ensuring effective management of high-consequence safety risks.
  • Establish, lead, and monitor safety programs and systems, including occupational health and hygiene management, statutory reporting, and emergency response procedures.
  • Promote a strong incident reporting and response culture, assist in investigating incidents and near misses, and ensure relevant parties are advised in a timely manner.
Person Profile

We are looking for a highly skilled professional with:

  • A degree in Health and Safety or equivalent, with a thorough understanding of management techniques.
  • Significant experience (+10 years) in underground mining (or similar) industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of WHS legislation in Australia, particularly SA mining approvals, legislation, and processes.
  • Current C Class driver's license.
