Our Formula for Success
In this exciting role as Senior Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial part in managing the end-to-end technical sales process for utility-scale energy storage systems in Australia and New Zealand. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing agreed sales strategies, including pricing implementation, to drive growth and revenue.
- Establishing and maintaining long-term relationships with key accounts and market influencers to understand customer needs and strategic interests.
- Collecting and analyzing market intelligence to identify opportunities for market growth and deepen penetration, such as attracting new customers, applications, and innovations.
- Managing relations with EPCs, equipment suppliers, and other associates throughout all sales stages until contract effectiveness.
- Analyzing client needs to develop tailored solutions and assist with quotations and feasibility studies.
- Collaborating with peers in other regions to share best practices, learnings, and devise new initiatives and improvements.
Key Ingredients for Success
To excel in this role, you will require a strong background in technical and/or marketing & sales, particularly in engineering and construction management in the power generation market. Familiarity with working alongside utilities, project developers, and EPCs in the energy industry is highly valued. As a natural communicator, you will be able to engage and influence stakeholders of various levels, providing meaningful insights and recommendations.
Key qualifications include:
- A degree in engineering or a similar technical discipline, preferably electrical engineering.
- Strong technology expertise in renewable energy.
- The ability to communicate complex technical topics across functions and regions.
- Clear presentation skills to suggest ideas to internal and external parties.
