Job Summary

Austin Engineering Ltd is seeking a visionary and experienced Senior HR Generalist to lead our Human Resources function nationally. This role will provide strategic advice and support to the business, focusing on talent management, employee engagement, and organizational development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the business unit and global HR objectives.
  • Manage HR operations and processes to support the business nationally.
  • Counsel and mentor HR Advisors in providing HR guidance to business leaders, managers, and supervisors.
  • Enhance existing HR frameworks and systems while ensuring compliance with external legal requirements and internal policies.
  • Lead the payroll team to achieve timely and accurate completion within tight deadlines.
  • Provide expert advice and support to management on improving culture, engagement, and performance.
  • Ensure organizational training and development initiatives align with business strategies and employee needs.
  • Prepare and deliver HR-related reports to government, management, and corporate functions as required.
  • Propose change management and communication initiatives for important business transitions.
  • Maintain compliance with HR-related legislation and requirements.

Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working as a HR Manager or Senior Leader, preferably across multiple sites and states.
  • Leadership experience in HR teams, HR operations, and strategic initiatives.
  • Previous experience in interpreting and guiding legislation, awards, policies, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of payroll processes with the capacity to lead completion within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a pleasant attitude and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and provide exceptional customer service.
