Seeking a driven and relationship-focused business development manager to grow and manage our pipeline of property-backed loan opportunities across Australia.
The successful candidate will work closely with the leadership team, primarily based in Melbourne but with occasional interstate travel opportunities available as we expand nationally.
- Originate and maintain a high-quality loan pipeline by sourcing senior-secured mortgage opportunities through a network of brokers, developers, and referral partners.
- Conduct credit risk analysis, financial modeling, and prepare loan proposals and submissions aligned with our investment criteria.
- Liaise with borrowers, introducers, solicitors, and internal teams throughout the loan lifecycle from term sheet to settlement.
- Stay informed about market trends in property development, commercial lending, and private credit to ensure deal quality and alignment with fund mandates.
- Collaborate with Lending, Legal, Operations, and Investment teams to streamline approvals and mitigate risks.
- Act as an ambassador for Simple Property Loans at industry events, broker meetings, and investor briefings.
- 5+ years of experience in property finance, lending origination, or mortgage broking.
- Strong deal-sourcing ability, relationship management, commercial, and financial acumen.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms, Excel-based modeling, and credit submission processes.
- A strong existing network of brokers, property developers, and financial intermediaries is highly valued.
- Demonstrated contributions to branding, marketing, or business development initiatives are also highly regarded.
- Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and relationship-driven. You enjoy building trust and helping clients succeed.
- A desire to learn and upskill in complex and detailed lending scenarios.
