We are seeking an experienced Strategic Procurement Leader to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our city.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will lead our procurement function, providing strategic guidance and advice to ensure effective and efficient procurement practices across the organisation.

You will have significant experience in complex procurement environments, preferably from a government sector, with a tertiary or postgraduate qualification.

A comprehensive knowledge of statutory and legal requirements, as well as the tender process, including leading evaluation panels, is essential.

You will be responsible for partnering with multiple stakeholders at senior levels, building partnerships and influencing change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the procurement function, developing and implementing strategic procurement plans that align with organisational objectives
  • Provide expert advice on procurement matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Develop and manage procurement contracts, ensuring value-for-money outcomes
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers and internal customers
Requirements
  • Significant experience in complex procurement environments, preferably from a government sector
  • Tertiary or postgraduate qualification in a related field
  • Comprehensive knowledge of statutory and legal requirements, as well as the tender process
  • Well-developed analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information effectively
What We Offer

In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary range of $116,000 - $123,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
