About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Social Worker to join our Child and Family Health Team. The successful candidate will provide visiting services to all 9 Sunrise communities and support the Biginini Family Program (MECSH) Nurses in delivering the Maternal Early Childhood Sustained Home-visiting Program (MECSH Program).

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide culturally safe psychosocial support for families enrolled in the Biginini Family Program.
  • Advocate for and assist families with housing, service access, and financial issues.
  • Work collaboratively with the Child Health Coordinator, MECSH Nurses, and other team members to provide comprehensive support to families.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate will require:

  • A degree in Social Work.
  • 2 years of remote health experience.
  • Current membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • Strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and communities.
