About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Performance and Reward Manager to join our team at Metcash. As a key contributor to our performance and reward strategy, you will play a critical role in shaping our policies and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide subject matter expertise on performance and reward matters to the People and Culture team and leaders across the business.
  • Manage and lead the annual performance management process, ensuring seamless execution and effective communication.
  • Plan and manage cyclical processes, including annual remuneration review, short-term and long-term incentives, Gender Pay Equity analysis and reporting.
  • Undertake and oversee job evaluations and job levelling as required by the business, assisting with the development of organisational structures.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders and liaise with external providers to maintain a compelling suite of employee benefits and ensure effective communications of these across Metcash.
  • Support the Head of Performance and Reward and the Chief People and Culture Officer with the preparation of Board/Committee Papers.
  • Provide ongoing education and communication of performance and reward policies and processes Metcash wide.
  • Undertake data analysis, modelling and other research on performance and reward projects and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Recognised tertiary qualification (or equivalent experience) in Business, Finance or Human Resources.
  • At least 6-8 years' experience working with remuneration fundamentals.
  • Job evaluation trained (Hay methodology).
  • Thorough understanding and experience with the components of remuneration e.g. salary, allowances, Superannuation Guarantee, salary sacrifice superannuation, motor vehicles, incentive payments, FBT etc.
  • Good understanding of and experience in implementation of STI and sales incentive plans.
  • Strong spreadsheet, data analysis and data presentation skills.
  • Excellent writing capability and experience.
