About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Performance and Reward Strategist to join our team at Metcash. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing performance and reward strategies that drive business results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement performance and reward strategies that align with business objectives
  • Provide subject matter expertise on performance and reward matters to the People and Culture team and leaders across the business
  • Manage and lead the annual performance management process
  • Plan and manage cyclical processes, including annual remuneration review, short-term and long-term incentives, Gender Pay Equity analysis and reporting
  • Undertake and oversee job evaluations and job levelling as required by the business
  • Engage with internal stakeholders and liaise with external providers to maintain a compelling suite of employee benefits
  • Support the Head of Performance and Reward and the Chief People and Culture Officer with the preparation of Board/Committee Papers
  • Provide ongoing education and communication of performance and reward policies and processes Metcash wide
  • Undertake data analysis, modelling and other research on performance and reward projects and initiatives

Requirements

  • Recognised tertiary qualification (or equivalent experience) in Business, Finance or Human Resources
  • At least 6-8 years' experience working with remuneration fundamentals
  • Job evaluation trained (Hay methodology)
  • Thorough understanding and experience with the components of remuneration
  • Good understanding of and experience in implementation of STI and sales incentive plans
  • Strong spreadsheet, data analysis and data presentation skills
  • Excellent writing capability and experience
