Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned culinary leader to fill the position of Executive Sous Chef. This role requires exceptional leadership, management, and development skills to lead a team of chefs across multiple kitchens.

About the Role:

  • Assume responsibility for kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef
  • Develop and mentor future leaders within the hotel's kitchen team
  • Collaborate with the team to design new menus showcasing seasonal and cost-effective produce
  • Conduct market research to maintain relationships with local suppliers and stay informed about current food trends
  • Prioritize efficient staffing and administration to achieve financial and service targets

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a qualified chef with proven leadership abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to motivate and develop others
  • Maintain high standards of personal presentation and hygiene
  • Proven track record of managing a HACCP certified kitchen and adhering to strict food safety standards
  • Excellent menu design and food costing capabilities
  • Flexibility to work across multiple kitchens as required
  • Ability to handle pressure, multitask, and deliver results under time constraints
