Job Title: Executive Culinary Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Culinary Leader to oversee the culinary operations of our venue. This role involves delivering exceptional food for high-impact events, working closely with the Head Chef, and contributing to menu innovation.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Spearheading daily culinary operations and ensuring consistent, high-quality food delivery
  • Mentoring and developing junior chefs while assisting with recruitment, rostering, and payroll to build a strong, efficient team
  • Contributing to menu creation and innovation, bringing fresh, on-trend ideas to large-scale events and functions
  • Managing food costs, inventory, and supply chain logistics to maintain efficiency and profitability
  • Collaborating with purchasing to ensure smooth kitchen flow and timely stock availability
  • Fostering a safe, compliant, and positive kitchen culture built on teamwork and respect
  • Elevating the guest experience by driving creativity and excellence at every service touchpoint

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of two years' experience in a similar leadership role, with strong banqueting experience essential
  • Hands-on leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams across multiple sections
  • Excellent communication and delegation skills, with the ability to maintain high standards under pressure
  • A solutions-focused approach, with adaptability and a commitment to continuous improvement
  • The ability to work independently with initiative, precision, and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends, nights, and public holidays
