Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our Clinical Team and support participants with complex needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in specialist developmental assessment and intervention programs, and be able to work effectively with a caseload of high-risk participants.

The PBS Practitioner will be responsible for developing and delivering individualised interventions to promote the human rights and well-being of participants. This includes working with participants who have restrictive practices and promoting their autonomy and dignity.

Key responsibilities include planning, developing and implementing interventions, sharing knowledge and skills with the team, and contributing to the development of innovative practices and programs. The successful candidate will also be required to engage with stakeholders to identify and develop least restrictive practices resources.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Deliver high-quality interventions that promote participant outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with participants, families and carers.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative practices and programs.
  • Engage with stakeholders to identify and develop least restrictive practices resources.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Disability & Developmental Education, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Health Science, Master of Psychology, or similar field.
  • Experience supporting people living with disabilities/mental health.
  • Current Driver's License.
  • DCSI Clearance (Disability-Related).
  • Confidence using IT equipment, Windows operating system, and Microsoft Office Suite.
