As a youth disability support worker, you'll play a vital role in helping us achieve this goal.About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team and support a participant living with level 3 Autism, behaviours of concern, and anxiety. You'll be responsible for assisting with personal care, implementing behaviour support plans, managing challenging behaviours, medication assistance, community & social engagement, meal preparation, and domestic assistance.About YouTo succeed in this role, you'll need:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience supporting youth with complex needs and behaviours of concern
  • Tertiary qualification relevant to Youth Work or Disability
  • Knowledge of Behaviour support plans and Restrictive Practices
  • Medication Certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Seizure management training or willingness to obtain
  • Experience working with hearing impaired and non-verbal clients (Auslan training highly desirable)
  • Working with Children's Check
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Driver's License & own car with comprehensive insurance
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Flexible availability & commitment to an ongoing roster of support
  • Must be willing to swim
