About the Role

We are seeking a Planning Optimisation Engineer with a background in planning and project controls working on infrastructure projects. This role is based in Sydney or Melbourne.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of cutting-edge services in schedule intelligence, planning optimisation, and risk management.
  • Utilise your problem-solving skills to anticipate challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop effective solutions that enhance project delivery.
  • Prepare and present practical optimised solutions, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
  • Provide strategic insights and feedback to continually improve service delivery and project performance.
  • Collaborate with and support the leadership team by working autonomously on assigned tasks, ensuring that the planning function integrates seamlessly with broader project management efforts.

About You

  • 7+ years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong background in infrastructure projects.
  • 5+ years of hands-on site planning experience, including roles on major infrastructure projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or construction engineering or a related field;
  • Expert proficiency with Oracle P6 software and other project management tools.
  • In-depth understanding of construction methodologies and project management principles.
  • A proven track record of identifying problems, developing solutions, and driving implementation to achieve project goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and implement new innovative technologies and software.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
