Job Description:

This is an exceptional opportunity to drive sustainable business performance, safety leadership and long-term growth across our quarry operations.

You will be a key member of the team, playing a crucial role in supporting our people, assets and customers while ensuring we continue to build something great.

  • Drive a Zero Harm culture across the region, inclusive of multiple quarries, ensuring that all safety, environmental and legislative requirements are met.
  • Lead improvement projects, influence strategy and shape the future of our quarrying operations.

As Operations Manager, your day will involve:

  1. Supporting the General Manager with operational, financial and performance outcomes.
  2. Developing and delivering quarry development plans for long-term sustainability.
  3. Leading key improvement projects to drive consistency and operational excellence.
  4. Overseeing quarrying assets and capital investment planning in collaboration with the Asset Manager.
  5. Providing support and expertise to Quarry Managers and Supervisors to optimise performance.
  6. Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, community groups, government and industry associations.
  7. Promoting a culture of Zero Harm, continuous improvement, OEE and Operational Excellence practices.
  8. Driving business development strategies to improve product quality, reduce costs and exceed customer service expectations.
  9. Leading people processes including succession planning, mentoring and performance reviews.
  10. Ensuring environmental compliance and safety remain front of mind across all operations.
  11. Extensive travel across quarry sites throughout NSW.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

For this challenging and rewarding role, we are looking for individuals with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, management, engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in Quarry Management and/or Operations.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor and influence.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
  • Demonstrates commercial and business acumen to support market growth.
  • Demonstrated success in driving operational improvements and achieving results.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively to multiple quarry sites across NSW.
