Job Title: Lodge Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our team at Seven Spirit Bay Lodge in Arnhem Land.

  • This is a full-time, fixed-term contract position that will run until the end of November with the potential for a permanent role for the right candidate.

You will receive accommodation and meals free of charge, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in one of Australia's most breathtaking landscapes.

About the Role:
  • As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for collaborating with management to prioritize and coordinate repairs and maintenance, ensuring all fleet vehicles and vessels are operational for scheduled tours.
  • You will conduct preventive maintenance servicing and breakdown repairs for all fleet items and property maintenance equipment, minimizing any disruptions to our guests.
  • Additionally, you will perform regular maintenance on prime power generators to guarantee a reliable power supply for the lodge.
  • Your responsibilities will also include employing cost-effective and efficient maintenance methods while upholding high-quality standards.
  • You will maintain a strong commitment to safety by adhering to all workplace health and safety policies and procedures, fostering a secure environment for yourself and your colleagues.
About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate proven mechanic experience, alongside strong attention to detail and effective troubleshooting abilities.

Exceptional communication skills and strong customer service capabilities are also essential.
