Job Role:
Remote Service Supervisor – Lead Field Teams Across East Arnhem Land

Location: Darwin, NT

About the role:

We're looking for an experienced, hands-on leader to manage our Darwin-based remote field service operations, supporting mechanical service jobs across remote communities in East Arnhem Land.

You'll coordinate skilled technicians, manage job scheduling, liaise with clients, and ensure projects run safely, on time, and to a high standard. While you'll work closely with our dedicated Parts Coordinator, your focus will be on people, planning, and performance — not parts procurement or freight logistics.

If you thrive on solving problems in real time, keeping teams motivated, and making sure clients are kept informed, this could be your next challenge.

What You'll Do:

Field Service Team Coordination

  • Schedule and allocate field service teams for remote jobs, matching skills to project needs.
  • Supervise technicians, provide technical support, and uphold safety and quality standards.
  • Engage subcontractors when extra capacity is required.

Client Liaison & Job Planning

  • Be the primary contact for clients on job scope, scheduling, and progress.
  • Collaborate with the Parts Coordinator to ensure all required parts reach site ahead of jobs.
  • Plan timelines, manpower, and resources for each deployment.
  • Run pre-start briefings to ensure teams are job-ready.

Operational Oversight

  • Monitor job progress, providing quick problem-solving for on-site challenges.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Logistics, Administration, Workshop) to keep operations on track.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS procedures and company policies.

Administration & Reporting

  • Keep accurate job records, service reports, and technician timesheets.
  • Report on job status, team performance, and KPIs to senior management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve field service processes.

What You'll Bring To The Team,

Must-Have:

  • Previous experience managing field service teams in remote or regional environments (minimum 5 years).
  • Strong organisational and scheduling skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with job management software (Mechanic Desk desirable).
  • Current Driver's Licence and willingness to travel to remote communities.
  • National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain).
  • Unrestricted work rights in Australia.

Preferred:

  • Trade-qualified light vehicle mechanic OR strong mechanical background.

Outcomes & KPIs:
  • Scheduling Efficiency: 95% of remote jobs scheduled with the right resources and lead time.
  • Productivity: Achieve target billable hours per technician per swing.
  • Client Satisfaction: Minimum feedback score of 8/10.
  • Reporting Compliance: 100% accurate job reporting within 2 days of completion.
  • Team Retention: Field technician turnover under 10% annually.

Why Join Us?

  • Make a tangible impact in remote communities.
  • Work with a skilled, supportive, and close-knit team.
  • Enjoy the variety and challenge of managing operations across unique locations in the NT.

Remuneration package negotiable on experience with bonus structures.
