Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Registered Nurse or Paramedic to provide primary and emergency healthcare services at our site. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of personnel on site.

About the Role:

The Occupational Health Manager will provide initial emergency response, manage medications, treat and rehabilitate personnel with occupational injuries, and provide primary health care to site personnel. This role also involves responding to call outs on site, including after-hours calls, coordinating and delivering training, and managing on-site Drug and Alcohol testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing initial emergency response and treating personnel with occupational injuries
  • Managing medications, including restricted drugs
  • Treating and rehabilitating personnel with occupational injuries or medical conditions
  • Providing primary health care to site personnel
  • Responding to call outs on site, including after-hours calls
  • Coordinating and delivering training, including first aid, low voltage rescue, CPR, advanced resuscitation, and heat stress
  • Managing on-site Drug and Alcohol testing

Requirements:

  • Qualification as a Registered Nurse or Paramedic (or equivalent)
  • Current unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Up-to-date ALS certificate
  • Current Trauma Certification (PHTLS, TNCC, or ITLS)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience
