Music Therapist Position in Rehabilitation and Aged Care

We are seeking a skilled Music Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at SA Health, working in the Rehabilitation, Aged Care and Transition Services wards.
About the RoleThis full-time position is responsible for delivering a comprehensive consumer-centred Music Therapy program, contributing to quality service and compassionate care.
- Perform thorough patient assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and facilitate therapeutic music sessions tailored to patient needs.
- Document assessment results, treatment plans, and patient progress in a timely and accurate manner.
- Support the design and implementation of quality improvement and research initiatives, contributing to evidence-based music therapy practices.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- An appropriate degree in Music Therapy or equivalent; eligible for membership with the Australian Music Therapy Association.
- Demonstrated ability to assess and treat patients with various illnesses and disabilities relevant to aged care and rehabilitation.
- Creative, adaptable, and skilled in integrating technology into therapeutic practice, including tele-rehabilitation tools for accessible, innovative service delivery.

- A competitive salary of $88,255.00 - $102,240.00 p.a. (Pro Rata) AHP2.
