Occupational Therapist

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) as a Senior Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist. Reporting to the Occupational Therapy Director, this role involves providing comprehensive occupational therapy services to rehabilitation clients located in the Stroke Unit.
Key Responsibilities- Provide oversight of the Occupational Therapy services on the Stroke Rehab unit and offer advice and consultancy to other staff within the Occupational Therapy department on neurological patient management,
- Audit and evaluate occupational therapy services and implement change accordingly,
- Work with the Unit Management Team to improve services and ensure quality patient care outcomes,
- Supervise AHP2/1 Occupational Therapists, Allied Health Assistants, and Occupational Therapy students.
To be successful in this role, you will have an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification that entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated ability to assume responsibility for the organisation and supervision of clinical Occupational Therapy services to a designated area as a member of an interdisciplinary team. This includes the ability to undertake assessment and intervention for stroke rehab patients and the management of complex cases,
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role,
- High level communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict negotiation and ability to establish relationships with key stakeholders.
The successful candidate will receive a salary range of $104,180 - $111,746 (pro rata) per annum. We also offer salary sacrifice benefits which provide the opportunity to save money by paying for some of your everyday expenses from your salary before it is taxed.
