At Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, we are seeking a highly skilled Workforce Development Professional to join our team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to lead and manage the development of policies, strategies, and programs that support individual and collective capability development within the department.

  • Develop and implement policies, strategies, and programs in leadership, workforce development, personal achievement and development planning, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Provide strategic advice and direction on whole-of-department strategies and frameworks to support operational and departmental workforce development objectives and outcomes.
  • Build professional relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders to develop and achieve collaboratives and fit-for-purpose learning and development offerings and outcomes.

You will also undertake high-level research and critical analysis of contemporary workforce development programs and frameworks to ensure they are well-designed, align with industry practices, and learner feedback is used to improve quality outcomes.

  • Lead and manage the workforce development team to deliver strategic workforce development programs.
  • Develop and implement policies, strategies, and programs that support individual and collective capability development.
  • Provide strategic advice and direction on whole-of-department strategies and frameworks.
