Lead the transformation of workforce data into strategic insights, communicating the stories revealed and using the evidence for workforce planning and evaluations.

Health Workforce Queensland is a not for profit, non-Government Rural Workforce Agency for primary health workforce in Queensland, focused on making sure remote, rural, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island communities have access to highly skilled health professionals when and where they need them, now and into the future.
Reporting to the Executive Manager Strategy & Partnerships, the Health Workforce Insights and Strategy Team Leader role is newly created, leading a team responsible for transforming primary healthcare workforce data into strategic insights, storytelling of that data and workforce planning and evaluation activities.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee the measurement and reporting of primary healthcare workforce need in remote and rural communities.
- Collaborate with the leadership and management teams to translate our workforce data into practical knowledge.
- Lead the development of stakeholder-ready workforce insights using storytelling, narrative framing and visualisations
- Oversee the evaluation of HWQ programs to measure their effectiveness and impact.
- Facilitate, Chair and participate in stakeholder collaboratives and working groups convened to address barriers and develop solutions to primary health workforce shortages in critical remote and rural locations.
- Monitor and analyse health workforce market trends, keeping abreast of government funding, policy and program changes, and current issues for the primary healthcare workforce in remote and rural Queensland communities.
