Workers Compensation Claims Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workers Compensation Claims Specialist to join our Personal Injury Team at Suncorp Group.
Key Responsibilities- Internal Reviews: Undertake thorough internal reviews of adverse claim decisions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and legislative requirements.
- Escalated Complaints: Deliver timely and effective responses to escalated complaints, adhering to all regulatory standards and legislative requirements.
- Customer Support: Provide excellent customer support by addressing incoming call complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the team to lead, manage, and deliver operational requirements, as well as provide technical support and advice to colleagues.
- Data Management: Ensure accurate recording and maintenance of data, records, and information relevant to internal reviews and escalated complaints.
- Privacy Compliance: Maintain and meet all Privacy standards and requirements to minimize the risk of exposure of claimants' personal and health information.
- Insurance Claims Experience: Proven experience in insurance claims, with a strong understanding of the NSW Worker Compensation framework.
- Legislative Knowledge: Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislation to deliver soundly based decisions within statutory timeframes.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical skills in an insurance setting, with a preference for workers compensation experience.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and well-developed writing skills.
- Adaptability: Ability to hit the ground running and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Qualifications: Qualifications in Law, Insurance, Medical, Allied Health, or related disciplines will be an added advantage.
