Urban Development Specialist

The RoleWe are seeking a dynamic and passionate Principal Planner to join our team. As a Principal Planner, you will have a developed industry profile, network of clients, and substantial industry experience with extensive knowledge of contemporary urban development issues. You will lead moderate to large-scale projects as a Project Manager, provide oversight of multiple projects, and develop the skills of others.

- Invest in long-term relationships with clients and generate repeat business.
- Work collaboratively across a wide range of projects and services within the organisation's diversified portfolios as part of multidisciplinary project teams.
- Liaise regularly with clients and understand their needs, deliver high-quality work, and manage small to large projects.
- Further develop your consultancy and project management capabilities and enhance your ability to work with relevant policy and legislation.
- A Tertiary qualification in Planning or related degree/discipline.
- 5 to 8+ years of urban planning experience within a professional services firm or state/local government.
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills, with a flexible and positive attitude to working on a range of different projects concurrently.
- Sound working knowledge of the NSW planning framework.
- Well-versed communication skills, and the ability to build rapport with clients and other project team members.
- Excellent writing skills, who can draft efficiently, write accurate and comprehensive reports, and prepare external correspondence.
