International Programs Manager Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to oversee and expand our grants portfolio, driving impactful partnerships with local organizations.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring effective coordination of grant-funded projects, partnering with local organizations across Africa, Asia, and the Pacific. They will also lead a dedicated team of International Program Coordinators, supporting their professional development and ensuring excellence in project implementation and compliance.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • - Grants and Partnership Management: Ensure effective coordination of grant funded projects, partnering with local organizations across Africa, Asia, and the Pacific to meet project goals and achieve sustainable outcomes, while maintaining adherence to compliance and DFAT accreditation standards.
    - Team Leadership: Lead a small team of International Program Coordinators, supporting their professional development and ensuring excellence in project implementation and compliance.
    - Stakeholder Engagement: Actively engage with stakeholders, represent at relevant sector events, contribute to ongoing learning, and build networks that support our strategic vision.
    - Strategy and business development: Identify and pursue new partnership and project opportunities in alignment with priorities, securing resources to expand the reach and impact of our mission.
About You
  • Requirements:
  • - Relevant tertiary qualifications: post-graduate degree in International Development, Social Change, International Studies, Political Science, Sociology, Anthropology, Human Geography or related discipline
    - A minimum of 7 years international development experience
    - Demonstrated experience managing or coordinating institutional grants (such as ANCP, AHP or other)
    - Strong understanding of compliance issues and requirements in the international development sector specifically ACFID and DFAT accreditation
    - Desired background in strategic sectors including climate and environment, GEDSI, humanitarian response, economic inclusion and livelihoods
