About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy and Regulation Expert to join our team in the Early Childhood Education Quality Assurance and Regulatory Services (QARS) directorate.

">

The successful candidate will lead improvement strategies to ensure regulatory requirements are embedded into early childhood education sector policy and practice, providing high-level strategic advice on a range of issues to support best practice regulation of NSW early childhood education and care services.

Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Develop and implement effective policies and procedures to regulate and support the early childhood education and care sector.">
  • Provide expert advice on regulatory matters to stakeholders, including government agencies, service providers, and the community.">
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain quality assurance frameworks and processes.">
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote the interests of Aboriginal children and families.">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

">
  • ">
  • A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.">
  • A valid Working with Children Check clearance for paid employment.">
  • Experience in state or federal government policy development, particularly in the areas of early childhood education and care.">
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as Law, Early Childhood Teaching, and/or Communications.">
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.">
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.">
  • A deep understanding of the early childhood education and care sector, including its challenges and opportunities.">

About You

">

This role is suited to candidates with relevant qualifications and previous experience in a human service delivery agency, where they were responsible for managing projects that contributed to uplifting standards, quality, or safety across the client or service provider population.
