Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Lead Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our compliance program at Westpac Group.

About the Role

In this dynamic role, you will lead a team of talented Business Analysts, guiding them to deliver exceptional results. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, translate them into technical requirements, and ensure seamless implementation.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Elicit, analyse, communicate, validate and manage requirements for changes to systems, business processes, policies, information and data.
  • Translate User Stories & High Level Requirements into Technical Specifications for Application implementation teams.
  • Look for ways to accelerate requirements gathering and continuously improve.
  • Work with Engineering and Enterprise Testing teams to validate requirements built according to technical specifications.
  • Identify and define detailed system requirements and use cases.
  • Support execution of product tests and resolve issues.
  • Validate design with stakeholders to ensure it satisfies requirements.
  • Lead, coach, mentor and motivate other BAs to uplift their capability and showcase best practice.
  • People management of BA's including internals and partner resources.

Requirements
  • 7+ years as an IT BA with skills in data analysis, system functional and non-functional analysis experience (essential).
  • Financial Services or Professional Services background (essential).
  • Risk & Regulatory experience (essential).
  • People management experience (essential).
  • Extensive experience in JIRA, Confluence, Agile (desirable).
  • A strong understanding of technology and business systems strategically and operationally.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Degree in either Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering.
  • Ability to work in office a minimum of 2-3 days a week.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
