About this role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Suncorp Group as a Technical Business Analyst with Guidewire Claimcenter experience. You will be part of a large Business Analyst community where ideas and best practice are shared.

As a Technical Business Analyst, you will work within a squad as part of the broader Claims Platform. You will build strong relationships through engagement with colleagues, and stakeholders across Business and Technology. You will document current and future state processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Document current and future state processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Use information gathering techniques to proactively discover requirements and synthesise information accurately, completely, and coherently
  • Work collaboratively with delivery teams and business stakeholders to gather, validate and document business requirements and develop recommendations and solutions that meet business and customer needs
  • Raise, and support mitigation and resolution of, risks and issues using established tools and frameworks were applicable
  • Create detailed user stories (in JIRA) to support delivery
  • Work close with squad / project members, including but not limited to Platform Delivery leads, Scrum Master, architects, Developers, Tech Leads, Test Analyst to identify, capture, plan and deliver changes
  • Mentor/train team members; participate and contribute to business analyst chapter and/or forums providing insights and thought leadership


About you

We are looking for someone with recent experience with Guidewire Claimcenter, minimum 5 years technical business analysis experience in a project/delivery orientated role, from a large organisation. You should have minimum 3 years' Agile, Lean and waterfall experience including knowledge of Agile practices, workshops, and Agile ceremonies facilitation. You must be able to translate and understand business and technical requirements and provide appropriate alternatives and solutions to meet those requirements.
