Operations Management

This critical role oversees underground shift crews, coordinating planned mining activities. The ideal candidate will successfully execute daily and weekly plans while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Clarify tasks and lead improvements in collaboration with peers.
  • Share 24-hour plans with relevant stakeholders on shift.
  • Collaborate with the Shift Engineer, Deputies, and Trades to adapt plans as needed.
  • Maintain performance standards by monitoring personnel and enforcing work and behavior standards.
  • Ensure accurate completion of shift reports.
Essential Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in Underground Longwall Mining.
  • Possession of a certificate of competency as Undermanager or equivalent qualification.
  • Desirable: Minimum of 10 years' experience in the mining industry.
  • Demonstrated operational management expertise at same or subordinate levels.
  • Proven leadership and management abilities.
