You are invited to apply for the position of Claims Assessor in a leading organisation. As a Claims Assessor, you will be responsible for managing and processing trade credit insurance claims in an accurate, timely, and policy-compliant manner.

This role involves end-to-end claims management, which includes verifying policy coverage, conducting assessments, liaising with stakeholders both internal and external whilst providing recommendations for claims settlement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and manage trade credit claims from lodgement through to resolution.
  • Interpret complex policy wordings and endorsements to determine coverage applicability.
  • Investigate the cause of loss and confirm compliance with policy conditions.
  • Liaise with insolvency practitioners to verify appointment status, creditor rankings, anticipated dividends, and recoverability.
  • Review debt collection and legal recovery efforts to ensure mitigation of loss and compliance with subrogation provisions.
  • Communicate with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders regarding claims progress and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and audit-compliant records of claims activities and outcomes.
  • Identify and escalate potential fraud or breach of policy obligations.
  • Contribute to monthly reporting, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You:

  • A minimum 2 years' experience in the trade credit insurance industry or similar financial claims environment is required.
  • Prior experience in claims assessment, collections, insolvency, or commercial credit risk is highly regarded.
  • Strong working knowledge of trade credit insurance policy structures and claimable events is essential.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships under time-sensitive and commercially sensitive conditions is necessary.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and insurance software systems is required.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational, and communication skills are essential for this role.
