Job Title: Accounts Receivable Officer

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage and reconcile accounts receivable, deal with key suppliers, and maintain adequate bank balances.

  • Issuing credit notes and refunds
  • Weekly Bank & Accounts reconciliation
  • Set up online banking transactions
  • Run Customer Direct Debits
  • Maintain and reconcile Trade & Other Debtors
  • Resolve receipt and payment allocation issues
  • Distribute overdue debtor reports
  • Assist in the preparation of rolling cash forecasts

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in AR or credit control, excellent communication skills, and experience in dealing with insurance companies and issuing credit notes/refunds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with key suppliers that are insurance companies
  • Issuing credit notes and refunds
  • Weekly Bank & Accounts reconciliation
  • Set up online banking transactions and maintain adequate bank balances
  • Run Customer Direct Debits
  • Maintain and reconcile Trade & Other Debtors
  • Resolve receipt and payment allocation issues - follow up on missing remittance advices
  • Run & distribute overdue debtor reports
  • Identify when to escalate the aged debtor in relation to security and insurance risk
  • Assist in the preparation of rolling cash forecasts
  • Any other ad hoc duties as and when required by the Financial Controller

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in AR or credit control
  • Experience from a large high volume organisation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in dealing with insurance companies and issuing credit notes/refunds
