Weir Minerals is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their commercial team in Artarmon. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a world-leading engineering business that makes mining operations smarter, more efficient and sustainable.

Job Description:

This role reports to the Regional Finance Director and involves delivering financial initiatives to achieve business objectives in profitability, cash flow and risk management.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide financial expertise to assist Business Units in obtaining orders while ensuring compliance with corporate requirements and achieving adequate margins.
  • Offer advice to Commercial Directors based on financial and commercial analysis and insights.
  • Participate in evaluating strategies for pursuing opportunities like launching new products, creating new service centres or acquiring new businesses.
  • Manage contract and service report preparation (costs incurred, costs to complete and analysis) to support informed decision-making.
  • Lead core FP&A processes including budgeting, forecasting and monthly financial reporting for commercial business units.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience in a similar role including extensive FP&A experience, sales incentive reporting and change management & leadership.
  • Extensive experience in financial management with a strong understanding of financial control, reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with proven ability to lead and develop finance teams.
