Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Controller to join our team at Westpac Group. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering strong financial management and control across the organisation.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality financial advice and support to business leaders, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and developing and implementing effective financial processes and controls.

As a Senior Financial Controller, you will have the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improvement, while also contributing to the development of future leaders within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial guidance and support to business leaders, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Develop and implement effective financial processes and controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Lead the preparation and presentation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A professional accounting qualification (CA or CPA) and a minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior financial leadership role
  • Strong technical skills in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams, with a focus on development and succession planning

At Westpac Group, we offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $140,000 - $180,000 per annum, as well as a range of benefits and rewards.
