Description:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced cafe leader to manage the daily operations of our vibrant Canberra cafe. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead a team to ensure seamless daily operations and high-quality customer service
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop seasonal menu offerings that cater to customer preferences
• Manage stock, monitor financial transactions, and maintain accurate records
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and cleanliness standards to create a welcoming environment
• Recruit, train, and manage cafe staff to uphold high service standards
• Address customer inquiries and feedback promptly to enhance overall satisfaction and foster a loyal customer base

Key Requirements:

• Qualifications: Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a managerial role within a coffee or cafe environment. At least 1 year of experience as a full-time barista in the coffee service industry, with knowledge of latte art and serving various coffee styles. Strong knowledge of different coffee brewing methods and proficiency with coffee machines and grinders.
• Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Language Proficiency: Must demonstrate proficiency in English, with an IELTS score of at least 6.5 overall preferred
