Field Service Engineer Job Description

About the Role:

This is a key position that requires technical expertise and excellent communication skills to support our operations globally.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert technical assistance and guidance to field teams ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Anticipate potential risks and opportunities, raising them to the relevant stakeholders for timely action.
  • Develop and evaluate specifications, procedures, and work plans for installation contractors.
  • Maintain open dialogue with customers to clarify any concerns or requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure consideration of field-related aspects.
  • Evaluate and maintain Health & Safety, quality plans, and supporting documents.
  • Establish and implement project-specific procedures and risk assessments.
  • Determine site layouts, tooling/fixtures, and site infrastructure needs.
  • Monitor project performance against set targets, identifying areas for corrective action.

Your Ideal Profile:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of turbines, generators, and balance of plant equipment.
  • The ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, schedules, and budgets effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with MS Office, SAP, and Primavera P6.
  • CAD skills, particularly in AutoCAD or Solid Edge, would be beneficial.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an asset due to the international team setup.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
