Hydro Power Plant Installation and Maintenance Specialist

About Us

We are a global company that specializes in providing technical support and maintenance services for hydropower plants across Australia.

Your Role

You will be part of our team that supports the installation and maintenance of hydropower plants. Your tasks include:

  • Providing technical expertise to field sites, preparing work packages, and maintaining documentation for installation teams.
  • Anticipating risks and chances, raising them to the project team, and coordinating dates with customers.
  • Preparing specifications and work descriptions for installation subcontractors and evaluating bids.
  • Facilitating clarifications with customers.
  • Participating in design review meetings and ensuring field-related design considerations.
  • Ensuring availability of health, safety, and quality plans and documents.
  • Determining site layouts, tooling, and site infrastructure requirements.
  • Monitoring target achievement regarding quality, schedule, and costs and supporting corrective actions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A university diploma in engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience and technical understanding of turbines, generators, and balance of plant equipment, as well as project management, supplier handling, and scheduling experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, schedules, and budgets.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, fully computer literate MS office suite, and SAP knowledge.
  • Competencies in AutoCad, Solid edge software, or equivalent.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are beneficial.
  • Team player with strong leadership and project management skills.
