**Job Overview**

We are seeking an experienced Parliamentary and Events Officer to join our team at the APS5 level. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the CEO and other executives, as well as coordinating briefs and ministerial correspondence.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Supporting the Parliamentary section, including monitoring and actioning Parliamentary inbox and management of Parliamentary Document Management System (PDMS).
  • Providing administrative support to the CEO and other executives.
  • Coordination of briefs and ministerial correspondence, for both internal and external purposes.
  • Drafting, proof reading and formatting style, including ministerial correspondence and briefing correspondence.
  • Event Coordinator including briefing, liaison and logistics.
  • Management and coordination of Senate Estimates, Question Time Briefs and Questions on Notice.
  • Assisting with the tabling of documents in Parliament.

**Requirements**

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written and the ability to liaise with staff and other external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
  • Understanding of the Parliamentary processes and legislative requirements (Desirable but not a requirement).
  • Proficient IT skills with the ability to adapt to a variety of software packages.
