About Ignite Recruitment:

We are seeking a highly skilled Parliamentary and Event Officer to join our team in Canberra. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to our CEO and executives, as well as manage parliamentary inboxes and document systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage parliamentary inboxes and document systems
  • Provide administrative support to the CEO and executives
  • Draft, proofread, and coordinate ministerial and briefing correspondence
  • Manage Senate Estimates, Question Time Briefs, and Questions on Notice
  • Coordinate external events, including logistics and stakeholder liaison
  • Assist in the tabling of documents in Parliament

Requirements:

  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with parliamentary processes and brief writing (desirable)
  • Proficient IT skills with adaptability to new software systems
