Rail Maintenance Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of Rolling Stock and its associated equipment based at the Lilyfield Sydney Light Rail Depot.
- Performing regular wheel changes for light rail vehicles, which is a physically demanding task.
- Carrying out routine examinations, fault finding, interrogation, and diagnostic testing on tram equipment installed on Sydney Light Rail Vehicles sub-systems.
- Maintaining and repairing tram equipment installed on LRVs.
- Following all established safety procedures and utilizing safety equipment as required.
- Reporting on activities, problems found, and measures taken.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders and understanding and implementing quality control measures.
We value passion and attitude over experience. We're looking for a team-player with a can-do attitude who is able to participate in a rotating shift roster.
- A certificate III engineering (mechanical trade) or similar qualification is preferred but not essential.
- Demonstrated maintenance experience with the ability to fault find, diagnose, and repair is highly regarded.
- Experience within the rail/rolling stock industry is preferred but not essential.
The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience. The benefits package includes 18 weeks paid parental leave, free corporate gym membership, and access to Alstom University with thousands of courses and learning materials.
