About the Role


We are seeking a Senior Rail Track Specialist to join our team in the Hunter Valley NSW, working with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.



Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring welding duties meet required standards, determining the method and sequence of welding operations, preparing rail to repair and maintain rail tracks, and completing required documentation.


Key responsibilities may include but are not limited to:



  • Ensuring high-quality welding work meets industry standards
  • Determining optimal welding sequences and methods
  • Preparing and maintaining rail tracks for repair and maintenance
  • Completing accurate documentation as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:



  • ARTC Heat & cut materials using Oxy-LPG equipment for the rail industry certification
  • Current Thermit Welding Certificate or equivalent
  • Experience in welding rail using aluminothermic processes
  • Certificate 2 in Rail Infrastructure
  • A valid Construction Induction (White Card) and Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Card
  • A valid Drivers Licence Class C or HR
  • Ability to pass a CAT3 medical, comprehensive functional and Drug & Alcohol Screening
  • Possession of a current Sydney Trains CON number (desirable)

Estimated Salary:

$90,000 - $110,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location.
