About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Signal Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Australian Rail Track Corporation. As a Signal Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of all signalling equipment on our network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine maintenance and inspection procedures in accordance with Technical Maintenance Plans, ARTC Specifications, and the Works Order system.
  • Ensure that all signals equipment is kept in satisfactory operating condition by regularly inspecting for wear and defects and promptly renewing or replacing components as required.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of or an awareness of Work, Health and Safety principles and relevant rail safety legislation.
  • Safe working qualified (PO1 minimum, PO2 desirable)
  • Drivers Licence Class C
  • ARTC Statement of Competency (Signals) or demonstrated ability to attain as per Signals Competency Assessment (EST-20-03).
  • Trade Certificate in electrical trade
  • Sound knowledge of testing parameters, signal circuit wiring plans, power wiring systems, and signal track plans.
