Operations Manager

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our facilities, ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency are maintained. This role requires a proven track record of success in similar roles, with experience in supervising teams of 500+ personnel.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to resolve complex problems and work effectively across various teams. You will also have excellent communication skills, with a good understanding of food safety and quality assurance.

  • Manage day-to-day operational activities of multiple units.
  • Coordinate, supervise, and ensure efficient utilization of teams to provide exceptional service delivery.
  • Oversee all operational and service delivery activities to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Responsible for managing ongoing operational costs.
  • Support business development and implement systems and procedures that support efficient operation.
  • Make recommendations on service procedures, quality improvements, and business development requirements.
  • Attend to major operational problems and needs, troubleshoot issues, and communicate effectively with the team.
  • Ensure all changes in customer specifications or recurring issues are communicated promptly to the team to resolve customer issues efficiently.
  • Deliver a safety culture where staff members comply with policies and procedures and wear PPE provided.
  • Analyze incidents, maintenance reports, and take corrective action to minimize future risk.

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Demonstrated success in similar roles, ideally in B2B environments.
  • Proven supervisory and leadership experience to manage large teams.
  • Substantial exposure to catering or manufacturing operations preferred.
  • Strong agile leadership, diplomacy, and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work both on the floor and in an office environment as required.
  • High energy and results-driven, with the ability to work across and within teams.
  • Good PC skills and ability to work with automated time and attendance systems and other business-related systems.
  • Ability to obtain a clear National Police Check.
