The Role
This is an exciting position within the Civil Team, focusing on Utility engineering services for the Transport, Defence, and Water Infrastructure sectors, managing projects that encompass road and rail systems.
In this capacity, you will oversee the study, design, specification, and implementation of utilities infrastructure, particularly in transport and water. You will develop innovative solutions to challenges faced, plan and schedule tasks, and execute work that requires independent judgment in evaluating, selecting, and adapting engineering methods, procedures, and standards. Your work may involve conventional engineering practices while addressing complex features such as conflicting design requirements and challenging coordination needs.
Who You Are
To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor of Engineering degree along with experience in design and/or practical expertise in coordinating and delivering utility designs and approvals throughout the design and construction phases.
- Familiarity with commercial arrangements and relationships within the Utilities design and construction sector.
- Strong technical design capabilities, particularly in the Utilities domain. Proficiency in AutoCAD, 12D, Civil3D, and Navisworks is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid practical knowledge of and commitment to health and safety standards.
- Chartered Status is preferred.
