About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Development Manager to join our team in Melbourne's Southeast. As a key member of our Business Banking team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial customers, developing strong relationships, and identifying new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a commercial portfolio and complex lending ranging from $3-10 million TAE.
- Develop strong networks with local industry, business, and community groups.
- Connect with customers through quality conversations to design and deliver innovative solutions.
- Build deep and lasting relationships, acquire new customers, and maintain credit and portfolio quality.
- Identify and lead business development activities to optimize our profile and growth prospects in the local region.
Requirements
- Banking and Finance industry knowledge.
- Demonstrated expertise in complex business lending and credit risk principles.
- Presentation skills, with the ability to adapt communication and influencing to suit the audience.
- Established sales skills, including prospecting, articulating customer value proposition, and adapting to influence and close the sale.
- Highly developed business development skills and networking ability with a focus on medium to large businesses.
- Sales coaching and development skills in a peer-to-peer environment.
- Tertiary qualification in business or finance-related discipline.
