Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Executive Chef Culinary Specialist to join our team at Marriott International.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced chef to lead our culinary operations and provide exceptional service to our guests. As an Executive Chef Culinary Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist. You will also oversee kitchen staff, ensure food safety and quality, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
  • Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
  • Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
  • Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently.
  • Monitor food quality while preparing food.
  • Set-up and break down work station.
  • Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles.
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
  • Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or higher) or equivalent.
  • A genuine warm and welcoming demeanor.
  • Personable communication skills.
  • Energizing motivation - it's infectious - no job is too big or too small.
  • A passion for the industry, a want to be the best in service.
