Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Leader to play a critical role as the regional Head of Compliance for our ANZ operations. As part of the Global Compliance Leadership team, you will act as the main point of coordination for engagement with ANZ based regulators, primarily ASIC.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to embed a robust control environment in line with regulatory standards, policies, and expectations.
  • Mentoring large and diverse teams and demonstrating strong leadership skills.
  • BUILDING STRONG STAKEHOLDER RELATIONSHIPS with senior management across all groups, including Group Heads.
  • Delivering expert advice and guidance on compliance matters through regional compliance teams.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Demonstrable and strong track record of engagement with and acting as a point of contact for ASIC, including deep experience and knowledge of key aspects of ASIC's supervisory approach.
  • Extensive experience and expert market knowledge in financial markets and consumer credit activity gained from equivalent roles in investment banks.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Australian regulatory environment and financial services regulation and its applicability to Macquarie's business and support groups.
  • Proven ability to guide and challenge senior stakeholders across diverse business and support groups on the interpretation of regulation.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining compliance policies, procedures, and frameworks, including from a global perspective to align local regulatory requirements with business policies, procedures, and framework.

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is around $250,000 - $350,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
