**About the Role:**

We are seeking an experienced Operational Risk Specialist to join our Business Operational Risk Management team in Sydney.

In this role, you will play a vital part in embedding the Risk Management Framework across the Risk Management Group (RMG) divisions. You will gain a thorough understanding of the risks inherent in the management of RMG as Macquarie's global Line 2 risk function.

You will advise on and challenge the effectiveness of mitigating controls, support incident and issue management through root cause identification, and partner with RMG divisions to ensure they clearly understand their role in relation to effective operational risk management.

**What We Offer:**

  • A competitive salary of $150,000 - $200,000 per annum, depending on experience

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience within non-financial risk, operational risk management or a similar discipline
  • Tertiary education in accounting, finance or related discipline
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to draw out insights
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and clear communication

About Us:

The Risk Management Group is an independent, centralized function responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie's material risks. Our divisions include Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, and Risk Management Group Central.
