About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead our Distress Brief Support (DBS) Trial, a 12-month full-time project based in Ipswich.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate the DBS trial, a community-based mental health initiative focusing on providing compassionate, non-clinical support to individuals in psychological distress.
  • Collaborate with the West Morton PHN to co-design and deliver a service that addresses the needs of local communities.
  • Work closely with our Medicare Mental Health team to provide practical solutions for managing distress and connecting participants to longer-term recovery services.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in health, social sciences, community services, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in managing complex projects, preferably in the mental health or community services sector.
  • Strong track record of working effectively with community and health service providers.
  • Commitment to improving the lives of people in distress, particularly from priority groups.
