We are seeking a seasoned Civil Design Engineer to join our Engineering team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in stormwater, commercial civil design, and subdivisions, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on schedule and within budget.

As a senior member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the successful delivery of civil design engineering projects from initial concept to final handover. This will involve guiding, mentoring, and supporting a team of engineers, designers, and drafters, as well as driving business growth through client engagement and bid preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the successful delivery of civil design engineering projects.
  • Guide, mentor, and support a team of engineers, designers, and drafters.
  • Drive business growth through active involvement in client engagement, bid preparation, and tender submissions.
  • Provide expert technical leadership and design oversight across a diverse portfolio of civil design projects.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver seamless project execution and exceptional client experiences.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory); Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or eligibility is highly regarded.
  • Minimum 10+ years' proven experience in civil engineering, with a strong track record in design, project delivery, and leadership.
  • Demonstrated success in leading, managing, and mentoring high-performing engineering teams.
  • Strong client relationship skills, with experience in business development, tender preparation, and bid management.
  • Connections and networks with land developers highly regarded
  • Exceptional communication, organisational, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of Victorian civil engineering standards, guidelines, and approval processes.
  • MRWA certification or working towards it in sewer and water design, essential for subdivision approvals.
